Rogue Treesiliency
The Treesilience Program is dedicated to increasing tree canopy in the Rogue Valley, with a special focus on underserved and vulnerable communities disproportionately impacted by environmental challenges. As climate change accelerates the decline of urban canopies in the region, this program takes proactive steps to plant climate-resilient, large-canopy trees. By enhancing urban greenery, Treesilience aims to mitigate the effects of rising temperatures, improve air quality, and strengthen community resilience. Through collaboration with local organizations and residents, the program fosters equitable access to the environmental, social, and health benefits provided by a thriving urban forest.

Who Qualifies to receive Services?
Under grant funding from the Oregon Department of Forestry's Urban and Community Forestry Project, services are prioritized for, but not limited to, individuals within the EPA’s Disadvantaged Community Environmental and Climate Justice Program boundaries. Residents of urban areas with limited canopy cover are also prioritized. If you're unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to submit an application for services. A member of our team will contact you to discuss your eligibility.
What services are provided?
The Treesilience Program provides a variety of services to support and enhance the urban canopy in the Rogue Valley. These include expert pruning to maintain the health and structure of existing trees, the safe removal and replacement of dead or hazardous trees, and the planting of new, climate-resilient species. Through a partnership with OUR Community Forestry, community members have access to knowledgeable professionals who assist property owners in selecting tree species best suited to their individual needs. This comprehensive approach ensures the long-term health of the urban forest while promoting resilience and sustainability in the face of climate change.
